The WAFA Project team held a 5-days conflict resolution skills and live skills education trainings in Gardiz and Said Karam districts from July 02 to July 06, 2022, in accordance with the monthly action plan, with a total of 40 Female and 40 Male participants from 17 suggested organizations. Their capacity has been improved with reference to the conflict resolution and peace building process.
The workshop was led by a Master trainer certified
by WAFA using advance methodologies. Normally the training sessions started
with recitation of holy Quran on each day for the five days. The first day
started with introduction of UNDP, WAFA and the project. Afterwards, the
introduction of the training was held. On the remaining 4 days, every day had
recap of the previous day topics and introduction of new topics followed by
details as an agenda. The participants were kept involved in the training by
giving them chance to ask questions, share their feedbacks and concerns. They
were provided with answers and information on each theme. Their capacity was
apparently increased on theme of and information about Conflict resolution
skills, and sharpened their abilities.
The main objectives of the trainings were:
· To improve attitude of the targeted people in peaceful resolution and developing understanding of impacts of disputes on youth and women through informative workshops
· To improve their conflict resolutions and decision-making skills and
techniques
· To promote conflict prevention and resolution at community level through development of uniform peace strategy
· To nourish the idea of conflict resolution and basic life skills.

Practical group work was given main place to
involve the participants in the training. Moreover, during the mentioned
Workshops certificates, food, refreshment, brochures and required stationary
have been provided to each participant.
Post-test was
conducted on the last day of the training to know effectiveness of the
training, also certificates were provided to the participants.
The result of pre-test and post-test was as follow:
The average score of 80 participants in pre-test was = 35
The average score of 60 participants in post-test was = 92
